After-Hours Movers 3/10: Health Insurers Lower on WellPoint (WLP) Warning, Systemax (SYX) Higher on Results/Dividend

Systemax Inc. (NYSE: SYX) 30% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.53, ex-gain. Revenues came in at $769 million. Systemax announces special $1.00 per share dividend.
Jones Soda Co. (Nasdaq: JSDA) 26% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.18, ex-items, versus analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenues for the quarter were $9.75 million, versus the consensus of $9.73 million.
WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP) 17% LOWER; now expects full year 2008 net income to be in the range of $5.76 to $6.01 per share, assuming net realized investment gains of approximately $0.06 per share, which is a revision from the previous forecast of $6.41 per share. The company cited higher than expected medical costs, lower than expected fully insured enrollment and, to a lesser extent, the changing economic environment.
Inter Parfums, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPAR) 16% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.41, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenues for the quarter were $119.4 million, versus the consensus of $119.20 million. To buyback up to 500,000 shares. Inter Parfums sees 2008 EPS of $1.25 and sales of $442 million, versus the consensus of $1.14 and $439.3 million.
Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) 11% LOWER; Lower guidance from WellPoint, citing higher than expected medical costs, lower than expected fully insured enrollment and, to a lesser extent, the changing economic environment.
Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET) 10% LOWER; Lower guidance from WellPoint, citing higher than expected medical costs, lower than expected fully insured enrollment and, to a lesser extent, the changing economic environment.
Unitedhealth Group, Inc. (NYSE: UNH) 9% LOWER; Lower guidance from WellPoint, citing higher than expected medical costs, lower than expected fully insured enrollment and, to a lesser extent, the changing economic environment.
Physicians Formula Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: FACE) 7.6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.33, 6 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $33.9 million vs. $31.58 million consensus. The Company is pleased with the performance of its Physicians Formula brand in relation to its peers; however, the Company expects continued softness in consumer spending throughout the industry in 2008. For the full year 2008, the Company expects net sales between $123 million and $125 million, representing an increase between 10% and 12% over 2007. In addition, the Company expects net income per diluted common share between $0.65 and $0.69, representing an increase between 8% and 15% over 2007. Included in its 2008 net income per diluted common share estimate is an approximate $0.11 non-cash charge for stock-based compensation net of tax. (FY08 revenue consensus is $126.46 million and EPS consensus is $0.72)
CIGNA Corp. (NYSE: CI) 7% LOWER; Lower guidance from WellPoint, citing higher than expected medical costs, lower than expected fully insured enrollment and, to a lesser extent, the changing economic environment.
Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP) 5% LOWER; intends to offer an aggregate of US$425 million convertible senior notes due 2013.
Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) 4% LOWER; sees Q1 revenue between $3.21 billion and $3.35 billion, versus prior guidance of $3.27 billion to $3.55 billion. The consensus is $3.4 billion. Sees EPS between $0.41 and $0.45, compared with the previous range of $0.43 to $0.49. The consensus is $0.46.
