After-Hours Movers 2/27: DBRN, NKTR, CRM Higher on Earnings, AAPL Up on iPhone Sales; SEED, MYL Lower on Earnings
Origin Agritech (NASDAQ: SEED) 32.8% LOWER; missed Q4 earnings and issued FY08 guidance: sees revenues in the range of $75-$80 million. The Company also announced it has licensed a new genetically modified corn to officially introduce the next generation of corn product into China. However, this new product was not enough positive news to offset its soft earnings.
Dress Barn (Nasdaq: DBRN) 9.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09 ex-items, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenues for the quarter were $345.6 million, versus the consensus of $343.02 million.
Nektar Therapeutics (Nasdaq: NKTR) 9% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.42, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revenues for the quarter were $65.8 million, versus the consensus of $42.89 million.

salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE: CRM) 7.7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.06, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenues for the quarter were $217 million, versus the consensus of $209.19 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.06-$0.07, versus the consensus of $0.06. FY08 EPS are expected to be $0.32-$0.33, versus $0.33.
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) 4% HIGHER; at a Goldman Sachs conference, Apple said it remains on track to sell 10 million iPhones this year. Also, Apple's COO Cook said unlocked iPhones a sign of great demand. He also said he doesn't think many U.S. iPhone buyers are bypassing AT&T (NYSE: T) and sees not shortage of interest in iPhone by carriers. Cook also said they are working to move iPhone from a device to a platform and will offer iPhone in more markets this year.
Mylan (NYSE: MYL) 3.8% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenues for the quarter were $1.16 billion, compared to $753.6 million in the same quarter last year.
