Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: HOV) 10.2% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $3.21, versus the analyst estimate of ($1.40). Revenue for the quarter was $437.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $454.09 million.
A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ: APWR) 7% LOWER; today announced that Shenyang Power Group, the U.S. Renewable Energy Group and Cielo Wind Power LP have entered into a definitive agreement for their ownership of a project company to develop a 600 MW wind farm in West Texas. The signing ceremony was held today in Washington D.C.
Citigroup (NYSE: C) 5% LOWER; hearing that the Treasury has delayed its $5 billion offering of Citi shares as the bank's secondary pricing was too low. Citi has now confirmed the pricing of nearly
5.4 billion shares at the rumored $3.15.
Nanometrics Incorporated (Nasdaq: NANO) 5% LOWER; today announced that it intends to offer shares of common stock in an underwritten public offering. Vincent Coates, the Company's founder, also intends to offer shares of common stock in the offering.
Nordson Corp. (Nasdaq: NDSN) 4.2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.85, ex-items, 3 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.88. Revenue for the quarter was $237 million, which compares to the estimate of $233.07 million. Sees Q1 sales up 13-17%, EPS around $0.61-$0.71. The Street is currently looking for Q1 EPS of $0.61.
Paychex Inc. (NASDAQ: PAYX) 3% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.35, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $496.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $496.39 million. Reaffirms guidance.
Conseco, Inc. (NYSE: CNO) 3% LOWER; announced today that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 45,000,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $4.75 per share. In addition, the Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 4,500,000 shares of the Company's common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is expected to close on or about December 22, 2009.
Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) 2.5% HIGHER; Metalsa, S.A. de C.V. has announced that it has agreed to purchase the structural products business of Dana. This acquisition strengthens Metalsa's position as a global supplier providing structural components to the light and commercial vehicle markets.
