EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: EFJI) 27.5% HIGHER; has been named as one of several contractors under a contract issued by the U.S. IRS. The contract is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract which allows various federal government agencies to purchase P25 digital two-way radios and related equipment from time to time from a select group of companies, including EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. The maximum total value of the five-year contract is $750 million; however, the contract does not specify purchase dates or quantities of equipment from any specific contractor.
The Men's Warehouse (NYSE: MW) 15.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.37, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $462 million, which compares to the estimate of $454.5 million. Sees Q4 GAAP Loss of $0.15 - $0.19. Comps down 2%.
NCI Building Systems, Inc. (NYSE: NCS) 9.9% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $3.59, compared to $1.27 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $244.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $330.81 million.
CKE Restaurants Inc. (NYSE: CKR) 6.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $324.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $324.4 million.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. (NYSE: DPS) 4.8% HIGHER; PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP) said today that it has reached an agreement with DPS to manufacture and distribute certain DPS products following completion of PepsiCo's acquisition of its two anchor bottlers, The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. and PepsiAmericas, Inc.
Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) 4% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.30, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter was $133.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $125.52 million.
Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV) 2.8% LOWER; announces that it plans to make a public offering of 10 million shares of its common stock. Apollo Investment Corporation plans to also grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1.5 million shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
SAIC, Inc. (NYSE: SAI) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.34, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $2.77 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.83 billion. Reaffirms outlook.
Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) 2.2% LOWER; raises its Q4 EPS guidance from $0.42-$0.50 to $0.47-$0.51. Sales for the quarter are expected to be $2.9-$3.02 billion.
AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) 2% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.10, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter was $154.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $152.5 million.
Dendreon Corporation (Nasdaq: DNDN) 1% LOWER; announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering, subject to market and other conditions, of 15,000,000 shares of its common stock pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement. Dendreon intends to grant to the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,250,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. J. P.
Morgan Securities Inc. and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. will act as joint book-running managers of the offering.
