Mitcham Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIND) 15% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.52, $0.30 better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $28 million versus the consensus estimate of $22.44 million.
Mens Wearhouse, Inc. (NYSE: MW) 9.2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.79, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.65. Revenue for the quarter came in at $584.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $570.94 million. Sees Q4 2011 EPS of $-0.12-$-0.15, versus the consensus of $-0.11. Sees sales 3.5-4.0%. First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FNFG) 5.2% LOWER; today announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of $450 million of its common stock. In addition, First Niagara expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to $33.75 million of additional shares of common stock. Goldman, Sachs & Co. will serve as the global coordinator for the offering, and Goldman, Sachs & Co., Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P., BofA Merrill Lynch and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. will serve as joint book-run ning managers for the offering. In connection with the offering, First Niagara also announced that its Board of Directors intends to reduce the quarterly cash dividend on its common stock to $0.08 per share commencing with the first quarter of 2012, compared to the $0.16 per share that has been paid in recent quarters.
Vera Bradley, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRA) 5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.32, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter came in at $121.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $109.85 million. Sees Q4 2012 EPS of $0.44-$0.47, versus the consensus of $0.47. Sees Q4 2012 revenue of $125-$130 million, versus the consensus of $130.60 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $1.37-$1.40, versus the consensus of $1.37. Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB) 4.6% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.14, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $122.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $121.04 million.
