After-Hours Movers 11/19: HIBB, VRGY, MTXX Higher; ADCT, WTSLA, FL, DELL, ARUN, EFOI Lower
ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) 13.9% LOWER; announced unaudited results for its two-month fourth quarter ended September 30, 2009. As previously announced, ADC changed its fiscal year end to September 30 from October 31. The company reported fourth quarter revenue of $183.9 million and GAAP loss from continuing operations of $19.2 million, or $0.20 per share. The GAAP loss includes certain after-tax charges of $25.5 million. Excluding these charges, the non-GAAP (adjusted) net earnings for the quarter were $6.3 million, or $0.06 per share. The company generated cash from continuing operations of $27.3 million for the two-month quarter and $86.0 million for the 11-month 2009 fiscal year. Net sales for the proforma 2009 fourth quarter totaled $293.6 million, compared to $355.9 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 and $292.3 million for the third quarter ending June 26, 2009. The year-over-year decline in sales principally reflects the impact of the global recession across all of our businesses.
The Wet Seal, Inc. (NASDAQ: WTSLA) 10.2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.04, in-line analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $141.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $140.28 million. Comps down 6.2%. Wet Seal sees Q4 EPS of $0.03-$0.07, versus the consensus of $0.08. Sees Q4 revs of $149-$155 million, versus the consensus of $156 million.
Hibbett Sports Inc. (NASDAQ: HIBB) 8.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.30, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.24. Revenue for the quarter was $145.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $144.17 million. Reports doing a $250 million buyback. Comps down 0.2%. Raises FY10 EPS $0.95 - $1.02, versus $0.92 consensus.
Verigy, Ltd. (NASDAQ: VRGY) 7.5% HIGHER; reports Q4 loss of $0.20, in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.20). Revenue for the quarter was $97 million, which compares to the estimate of $96.40 million. Sees Q1 loss of $0.02-$0.09, versus the consensus of a loss of $0.14.
Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) 7.1% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.10, ex-items, 3 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter was $1.21 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.19 billion. Sales down 8.2%
Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) 5.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.23, 5 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter was $12.9 Billion, which compares to the estimate of $13.2 million.
Matrixx Initiatives Inc. (Nasdaq: MTXX) 5.6% HIGHER; After months of informal discussions with the Federal Food and Drug Administration following their issuance of a warning letter on June 16, 2009 regarding the Company's nasal cold remedy products, Matrixx filed its response on November 16. Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) 5.4% LOWER; reports Q1 a EPS of $0.04, even with the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $57.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $56.02 million.
Energy Focus, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFOI) 5.4% LOWER; today announced it received a notification from the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Department providing notification that, for the last 30 consecutive business days, the bid price of the Company's common stock has closed below the minimum $1.00 per share requirement for continued inclusion under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(a)(1) and that the Company's shareholder equity was below the listing standard of $10 million as per Rule 5450(b)(1)(A) as of the end of the third quarter.
Dress Barn (NASDAQ: DBRN) 4.8% LOWER; reports Q1 adjusted EPS of $0.38, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $404.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $389.80 million. Comps up 4% for the quarter. Sees FY09 and FY10 EPS cut by 5c/share on accounting changes.
Zumiez Inc. (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) 2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.17, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter was $113.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $112.01 million. Q3 comps down 8%. Zumiez sees Q4 EPS of $0.18-$0.22, versus the consensus of $0.25. Q4 comps high-to-mid single digits .
Gap Inc. (NYSE: GPS) 1.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.44, even with the analyst estimate of $0.44. Revenue for the quarter was $3.59 million, which compares to the estimate of $3.57 billion. Introduces new $500 million buyback program.
