After-Hours Movers 10/16: Google (GOOG), AMD (AMD) Higher After Results

Tempur Pedic International (NYSE: TPX) 12% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.32, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenues for the quarter were $252.8 million, versus the consensus of $259.07 million. Sees FY08 sales of $930-$950 million, versus the consensus of $1 billion. EPS for the year are expected to be in the range of $0.90-$1.00, versus the Street estimate of $1.10.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR) 10% LOWER; reports a Q3 loss of $0.18, 8 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenues for the quarter were $17.8 million, versus the consensus of $24.98 million. Sees Q4 sales in the range of $45-$55 million, versus the consensus of $43.10 million. The company sees a loss of $0.08-$0.12, versus the consensus of ($0.07) Production is expected to be approximately 12 MW to 15 MW, including about 8 MW to 11 MW from the Devens facility. Gross margin is expected to be between 5% and 10%.

Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) 10% HIGHER; reports a Q3 loss of $0.07 from continuing operations, which includes items and so may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.40). Revenues for the quarter were $1.78 billion, versus the consensus of $1.48 billion.

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) 9.5% LOWER; reported Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $4.92, versus the analyst estimate of $4.76. Revenues for the quarter were $4.04 billion, ex-TAC, versus the consensus of $4.06 billion.

Baidu.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: BIDU) 7% HIGHER; Results from Google

ICU Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICUI) 4.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.52, 11 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenues for the quarter were $54.7 million, versus the consensus of $50.90 million. The Company is increasing its revenue guidance for full year 2008 to $199 - $203 million, compared to the previously announced $190 - $200 million. (Consensus is $197.43 million) In addition, the Company is increasing its diluted earnings per share for full year 2008 to a range of $1.48 - $1.53 ($1.61-1.69 ex-items), compared to the previously announced $1.35 - $1.45 per diluted share. (Consensus is $1.39).

The NASDAQ OMX Group Inc (NASDAQ: NDAQ) 4% HIGHER; will replace Dillard's Inc. (NYSE: DDS) in the S&P 500. As of today’s close, Dillard's market value ranked 500th in the index.

Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBST) 4% HIGHER;reports Q3 EPS of $0.44, 11 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenues for the quarter were $112.4 million, versus the consensus of $108.74 million.

Intuitive Surgical (Nasdaq: ISRG) 3.4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.44, versus the analyst estimate of $1.27. Revenues for the quarter were $236 million, versus the consensus of $226.61 million.

Comstock Resources Inc. (NYSE: CRK) 2.5% HIGHER; will replace Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM) in the S&P MidCap 400. As of today’s close, Entercom Communications’ market value ranked 400th in the index.
