After-Hours Movers 09/28: (TWI) (THO) (ATO) (HPQ) Higher; (BDSI) (AMD) (WOR) (MOS) Lower

BioDelivery Sciences (Nasdaq: BDSI) 41% LOWER; reports results from Phase 3 efficacy study for BEMA buprenorphine in chronic pain have missed their primary endpoint. The company will now proceed with its second efficacy trial.

AMD (NYSE: AMD) 8% LOWER; offering preliminary Q3 results: sees sales up 4-6 percent sequentially, down from a prior outlook of up 8-12 percent. Q3 gross margin expected to be 44-45%, down from previous guidance of about 47%

Titan International (NYSE: TWI) 4% HIGHER; boosts FY11 sales guidance from $1.2-$1.35 billion to $1.4 billion. The Street is currently looking for FY11 sales of $1.45 billion.

Thor Industries, Inc. (NYSE: THO) 3% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.66, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter came in at $770.54 million versus the consensus estimate of $769.09 million.

Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WOR) 2.7% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.35, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter came in at $602.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $626.97 million.

Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) 1.8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $1.17, versus $0.67 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.22 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.54 billion.

Atmos Energy (NYSE: ATO) 1.5% HIGHER; announces a buyback plan for up to 5 million shares of its common stock.

HP (NYSE: HPQ) 1.4% HIGHER; CNBC reports, citing the WSJ, HP has hired Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) in order to defend itself from activist investors.

Stryker (NYSE: SYK) 1.3% HIGHER; shares are catching a bid after hours Wednesday following an appearance by the company's Chairman, President and CEO Steve MacMillan on CNBC's Closing Bell. After closing at $48.49 earlier, the stock is now trading around $48.96. The exec said he expects to report FY11 sales around $8 billion. This compares to revenue of $7.3 billion during 2010 and a current Street estimate of about $8.34 billion. MacMillan also noted recent "market pressures" which have been driving down prices.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) 1% LOWER; filed a registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to sell, from time to time, up to 9,999,998 shares of Common Stock on behalf of Selling Stockholders.

AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) 0.8% HIGHER; today announced its Board of Directors authorized the repurchase of an additional $750 million of the Company's common stock in connection with its ongoing share repurchase program.

The Chubb Corporation (NYSE: CB) 0.5% HIGHER; announced today that it estimates losses from third quarter catastrophes were approximately $400 million to $475 million before tax (approximately $0.90 to $1.07 per share after tax). The estimate includes approximately $300 million to $375 million of losses from Hurricane Irene, as well as losses from eight other catastrophe events in the United States. The impact of the catastrophe losses will be reflected in Chubb's third quarter 2011 financial results.

Best Buy Co. (NYSE: BBY) INDICATED HIGHER; announced today that it will be offering Amazon's (Nasdaq: AMZN) New Kindle Family of products in its stores for the holidays.

Merck (NYSE: MRK) INDICATED HIGHER; sells its 50 percent stake in the J&J (NYSE: JNJ)-Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. joint venture to McNEIL-PPC Inc. for $175 million.
