Radiant Systems (Nasdaq: RADS) 29.7% HIGHER; NCR to acquire Radiant for $28 per share.

Joe's Jean, Inc. (NASDAQ: JOEZ) 7% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.01, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter came in at $24.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $23.39 million.

Microchip Technology (Nasdaq: MCHP) 5.9% LOWER; sees Q1 sales down about 1.5 percent compared to sales during Q4. The company previously guided sales up 1-6% on a quarter-over-quarter basis. Adj-EPS guidance moves from 58-62c to 53-55c. The Street is looking for Q1 EPS of 60c.

Novellus Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVLS) 5.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.79, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $350.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $352.32 million. On its Q2 conference call, a Novellus exec offered the following outlook: sees Q3 adj-EPS of 60-75c on sales of $300-$340 million. The Street is currently looking for Q3 adj-EPS of 87c on sales of $363 million.

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE: NLY) 2.4% LOWER; today announced that it intends to make a public offering of 100,000,000 shares of its common stock.

NCR (NYSE: NCR) 2.1% HIGHER; see Radiant.

General Cable Corp. (NYSE: BGC) 2% HIGHER; will replace SRA International Inc. (NYSE: SRX) in the S&P MidCap 400 index
