Southern Union Company (NYSE: SUG) 14.9% HIGHER; Williams today announced that it has proposed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of for $39.00 per share in cash, for a total enterprise value of $8.7 billion.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) 13.9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.07, $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.37 billion.
STR Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: STRI) 10% LOWER; today provided an update on its financial guidance for the second quarter of 2011. STRI now expects to report consolidated net sales in the range of $98 to $101 million. The Company's prior guidance for its second quarter consolidated net sales was $104 to $110 million. The Company now anticipates diluted non-GAAP earnings per share of approximately $0.30 to $0.32. The prior guidance for the second quarter for diluted non-GAAP EPS was $0.38 to $0.42.
Blackboard (Nasdaq: BBBB) 8.8% HIGHER; is reported to to be in talks with Providence Equity Partners for a possible acquisition. A deal could come as soon as next week, according to sources.
Finish Line (NASDAQ: FINL) 5.1% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.30, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $299.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $301.43 million. Same-store-sales were up 6.5 percent.

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ: ORCL) 3.7% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.75, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.71. Revenue for the quarter came in at $10.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $10.75 billion. Sees Q1 adj-EPS of 45-48c on sales growth of 9-12%.
RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) 3.5% LOWER; will replace Harte-Hanks Inc. (NYSE: HHS) in the S&P MidCap 400 index. Marathon Petroleum will replace RadioShack in the S&P 500.
Newell Rubbermaid (NYSE: NWL) 2.4% HIGHER; announces the appointment of Michael Polk as the company's new President and CEO.
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) 2.2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.93, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.90. Revenue for the quarter came in at $6.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.43 billion. Sees FY2011 EPS of $3.36-$3.40, versus prior guidance of $3.22-$3.30 and the consensus of $3.27. The company also raised its FY11 sales growth estimate from 11%-14% to 14%-15%. Q4 sales guidance was also raised from $6.4-$6.6 billion vs the consensus of $6.17 billion.
TIBCO Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) 1.9% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.21, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter came in at $216.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $198.47 million.
