Harvest Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE: HNR) 83.5% HIGHER; wholly-owned subsidiary, HNR Energia B.V., has signed a definitive Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with PT Pertamina (Persero), the national oil company of Indonesia (the Buyer), to sell all of the Company's interests in Venezuela for $725.0 million in an all-cash transaction. Net proceeds from the sale are estimated to be approximately $525.0 million after deductions for transaction related costs and taxes.

Paragon Shipping Inc. (NYSE: PRGN) 10.3% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.02, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $12.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $12.8 million.

Ryder (NYSE: R) 8.8% LOWER; lowers its Q2 EPS guidance from $1.07-$1.12 previously to $0.90-$0.95, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.10. The company's FY12 EPS outlook moves from $4.02-$4.12 to $3.65-$3.85, which compares to the Street estimate of $4.09. The company cited "reduced commercial rental demand and actions taken to reduce used vehicle inventories.

BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: BMTI) 5.8% HIGHER; A study comparing Augment Injectable Bone Graft (AIBG) to autograft in foot and ankle fusion surgery showed the trial met its primary endpoint of non-inferiority of AIBG to autograft as assessed by CT scan at six months. The assessment of the primary endpoint revealed that 53/63 (84.1%) of the AIBG-treated patients and 100/154 (64.9%) of the autograft-treated patients were fused as determined by six month CT scans (p<0.001).

Associated Estates (NYSE: AEC) 3.7% LOWER; reports proposed offering of 5.5 million shares of common stock.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) 3.1% HIGHER; downgraded two levels to Baa1 by Moody's, better than rumors of a three notch downgrade which were heard during the day. Elsewhere in the financial sector: Citi (NYSE: C) up about 1 percent, BofA (NYSE: BAC) up 1.7 percent, Goldman (NYSE: GS) up 0.5 percent, JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) up 1.5 percent.

Monster Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: MNST) 2.9% HIGHER; will replace Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE: SLE) in the S&P 500 index.
