POZEN Inc. (NASDAQ: POZN) 19.3% LOWER; today announced that it has received an Advice/Information Request letter from the U.S. FDA which indicates that the FDA has made a preliminary review of the study results and POZENâs summary analyses of a Phase 1 study (115 Study) to assess the bioequivalence of PA32540 to enteric-coated (EC) aspirin 325 mg using acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) as the analyte. Based on its preliminary assessment, the FDA does not agree that bioequivalence of PA32540 to EC aspirin 325 mg was demonstrated based on the information available to the FDA at this time.
Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) 10.4% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.89, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.84. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.22 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.25 billion. Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. sees Q2 2012 EPS of $0.97-$1.03, versus the consensus of $1.08.
Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT) 10.2% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.30, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $315 million versus the consensus estimate of $310.84 million. Sees Q2 adj-EPS of 28-29 cents, which compares to the Street estimate of 29 cents. Sales are expected to be in the range of $320-$322 million, vs. the consensus estimate of $330.8 million.
Clarcor, Inc. (NYSE: CLC) 10.1% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.65, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.70. Revenue for the quarter came in at $284.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $305.68 million. Lowered its FY12 EPS guidance from $2.55-$2.70 to $2.50-$2.65, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.68.
Exlservice Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXLS) 3.6% HIGHER; will replace Central Vermont Public Service Corp. (NYSE: CV) in the SmallCap 600 index.
Ligand Pharma (Nasdaq: LGND) 3% HIGHER; higher following news an FDA panel voted 11-0 that the benefits of Onyx Pharma's (Nasdaq: ONXX) carfilzomib outweigh the risks.
Apartment Investment and Management Company (NYSE: AIV) 2.6% LOWER; announced today that it has commenced a public offering of 11,041,934 shares of its common stock, consisting of 9,000,000 shares to be sold by Aimco and 2,041,934 shares to be sold by selling stockholders. Aimco intends to use the net proceeds from its offering of common stock, along with available cash, to redeem all outstanding shares of its Class U Cumulative Preferred Stock.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) 2.4% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.32), $0.12 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.20). Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.01 billion.
