IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS) 5.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.97, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.94. Revenue for the quarter came in at $387.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $383.52 million. IHS Inc. sees FY2012 EPS of $3.88-$4.01, versus prior guidance of $3.84-$4.01 and the consensus of $3.97. Sales raised from $1.525-$1.575 billion to $1.53-$1.58 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.55 billion. The company also announced a secondary public offering of 8 million shares of common stock.

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) 5.5% LOWER; today announced that Michael Francis will be leaving the Company, effective today. Chief Executive Officer Ron Johnson will assume direct responsibility and oversight of the company's marketing and merchandising functions.

Western Gas Partners (NYSE: WES) 3.4% LOWER; announces a public offering of 5 million common units. The company will use proceeds to repay debt.

HCP (NYSE: HCP) 3.3% LOWER; has agreed to sell 7,800,000 shares of its common stock to Citigroup, as sole underwriter, in an underwritten public offering.

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ: ORCL) 2.7% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.82, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter came in at $10.9 billion versus the consensus estimate of $10.9 billion. Authorizes a $10 billion buyback plan.

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) 2.5% LOWER; commences a public offering of 4,500,000 common shares of beneficial interest, par value $0.01 per share. The Company intends to grant the underwriters of the offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 675,000 common shares.
