RealD (NYSE: RLD) 4.2% LOWER; posts Q4 EPS of 8c, which may not compare to the Street estimate of a 15c per share loss. The company reported a GAAP loss of 85c per share during the same quarter last year. Sales for the quarter were $58.5 million, versus the consensus of $51.9 million.
Horace Mann Educators Corporation (NYSE: HMN) 1.9% LOWER; estimates losses from catastrophe activity during the months of April and May 2011 will total $45 million to $50 million pretax. As a result, the company is lowering its outlook. Horace Mann drops FY11 EPS from $1.75 - $1.95 to $1.10 - $1.30. The consensus is for EPS of $1.80.
