Ulta Salon Inc. (NASDAQ: ULTA) 12% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.37, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenue for the quarter came in at $386 million versus the consensus estimate of $371.02 million. Sees Q2 2011 EPS of $0.31-$0.33, versus the consensus of $0.30. Sees Q2 2011 revenue of $378-$384 million, versus the consensus of $376.8 million.
Bob Evans Farms (NASDAQ: BOBE) 6.9% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.60, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $418.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $423.67 million. Same-store sales rose 1.2 percent. Sees FY2012 EPS of $2.36-$2.44, versus the consensus of $2.39.
Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: HOV) 5.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of ($0.69), $0.18 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.51). Revenue for the quarter came in at $255.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $263 million. Net contracts during the second quarter of 2011, including unconsolidated joint ventures, decreased 17% to 1,166 homes compared with the same period of the prior year.

Comtech Telecommunications (NASDAQ: CMTL) 2.6% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.47, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter came in at $131.08 million versus the consensus estimate of $144.81 million. Consolidated net sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011 are expected to be significantly lower than the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010.
