J.C. Penney Co., Inc. (NYSE: JCP) 11.7% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.25), $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.15 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.48 billion. Comps down 18.5% Stopping quarterly dividend. Reaffirmed FY2012 non-GAAP EPS guidance, but said it does not expect to hit its previously-issued GAAP outlook.

China New Borun Corp. (NYSE: BORN) 10% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter came in at $114.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $110.59 million. Sees Q2 2012 revenue of $116.8-$120.0 million, versus the consensus of $118.32 million.

THQ, Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) 9.5% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.12), $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revenue for the quarter came in at $170.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $157.37 million.

Sina Corp (NASDAQ: SINA) 7.8% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.21), $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revenue for the quarter came in at $101.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $102.56 million. Sees Q2 2012 revenue of $126-$129 million, versus the consensus of $130.44 million.

Parkervision, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRKR) 6.5% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.06), versus ($0.06) reported last year.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) 5% LOWER; intends to offer and sell, subject to market and other conditions, shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. There can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

Newcastle Investment Corp. (NYSE: NCT) 5% LOWER; plans to make a public offering of 20,000,000 shares of its common stock, subject to market and other conditions. In connection with the offering, the Company intends to grant the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 3,000,000 shares of common stock.

GM (NYSE: GM) 4% HIGHER; Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway takes a stake in GM.

Euroseas Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESEA) 4% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.29), $0.25 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenue for the quarter came in at $14.23 million versus the consensus estimate of $13.66 million.

Tumi Holdings (NYSE: TUMI) 2.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.06, versus $0.00 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $80 million, versus $65.9 million reported last year. Sees FY2012 EPS of $0.64-$0.67. Tumi Holdings sees FY2012 revenue of $385-$390 million.

CVD Equipment Corp. (NASDAQ: CVV) 2.3% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $7.16 million versus the consensus estimate of $7.3 million.

KIT digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: KITD) 1% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.17), $0.12 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $59 million versus the consensus estimate of $68.95 million. Sees FY12 revenues baseline of $250 million. Finds material weakness in financial controls.
