Micrel (Nasdaq: MCRL) 13.9% LOWER; lowering Q1 guidance: EPS of 13-14c, down from prior guidance of 17-19c, and versus the Street consensus of 18c. Sees sales down 10-11%, vs. prior guidance of down 2-6%.
Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR) 10.6% LOWER; expects Q3 revs of $75.5 - $76.5 million, compared with the consensus of $83.87 million. Overall Asia Pacific performed well, and is expected to show double-digit revenue growth from Q3 FY10. EMEA is expected to show low single digit revenue growth from Q3 FY10. North America is expected to show a decrease in revenue from Q3 FY10. Overall, year-to-date revenue growth is expected to be 9% to 10% vs. the same period in FY2010.
WMS Industries (NYSE: WMS) 9.3% LOWER; offers preliminary Q3 results: sales of $191-$193 million with EPS of 40-42c. WMS had previously expected to report Q3 sales of $209-$215 million. The Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of 51c on sales of $212.62 million. Sees Q4 sales of $210-$220 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $234.1 million. Sees FY12 sales of $810-$850 million, vs. the consensus of $935.10 million.
Safe Bulkers, Inc. (NYSE: SB) 7% LOWER; announces a 5 million common stock offering. In connection with the Public Offering, the Company intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 750,000 additional shares of common stock. Net proceeds will be used for vessel acquisitions, capital expenditures and for other general corporate purposes, including repayment of indebtedness.
NPS Pharma (Nasdaq: NPSP) 4.9% LOWER; announces 9 million share common stock offering.
ECA Marcellus Trust I (NYSE: ECT) 4.9% LOWER; intends to offer 2,525,000 common units representing beneficial interests in ECT currently held by Energy Corporation of America (ECA) in an underwritten public offering. ECA has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 360,723 additional common units. ECT will not receive any of the proceeds from the offering.
Alcoa (NYSE: AA) 2.8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.28, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.96 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.07 billion.
