After-Hours Movers 9/22: 3Com (COMS) Up on Results; WaMu (WM) Continues Slide

3Com Corp (Nasdaq: COMS) 11% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.11, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenues for the quarter were $342.7 million, versus the consensus of $337.12 million.
Washington Mutual Inc. (NYSE: WM) 11% LOWER; Continues today's 22% slide on fears a sale may not be to shareholders liking.
Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI) 8% LOWER; provided public guidance for third quarter net broadcast revenues of $152.5 to $154.4 million, an increase of 2.0% to 3.4%, as compared to third quarter 2007. That outlook included an estimated $9.7 million in political advertising revenues. Due to the difficult financial and economic environment, Sinclair Broadcast Group is now estimating net broadcast revenues for the third quarter 2008 to be approximately flat to third quarter 2007 net broadcast revenues of $149.4 million. The revised outlook includes an estimated $8.0 million of political advertising revenues in the quarter.
American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) 5% HIGHER; Continues today 22.6% upside move on investors hopes equity holders will have value after asset sales.
Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE: UNP) 2% HIGHER; announced that lower diesel fuel costs and strong operating efficiency will more than offset the impact of recent hurricanes and lower volumes. As a result, Union Pacific raises its Q3 EPS guidance from $1.10-$1.20 to $1.28-$1.33, versus the consensus of $1.21.
