Aerospace Stocks Hit Hard On Boeing's 787 Delay (HXL, GR, SPR)

Aerospace stocks are getting hit hard today after Boeing (NYSE: BA) postponed the first flight of the 787 Dreamliner due to a need to reinforce an area within the side-of-body section of the aircraft.

Shares of Boeing are down 7% on the news and it is having ripple effects on suppliers and others in the sector:

  • Hexcel Corp. (NYSE: HXL) -8%
  • Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc (NYSE: SPR) -7%
  • Goodrich Corp. (NYSE: GR) -2%
  • Honeywell (NYSE: HON) -0.5%
  • Rockwell Collins (NYSE: ROK) -0.5%
  • BE Aerospace Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAV) -4.5%
