Peerless Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: PRLS) 20.5% LOWER; Company announced that the vendor in the previously announced System-on-Chip (SoC) development agreement has elected not to proceed into the second phase of the agreement, which would have involved chip development and production.
Symmetry Medical (NYSE: SMA) 14.5% LOWER; Company lowered its revenue estimate for the second quarter of 2006. Symmetry now expects revenues for the second quarter 2006 to be in the range of $63 to $65 million. During its first quarter investor conference call in May 2006, the Company indicated that it expected second quarter revenues to be "similar" to first quarter revenues of $69.6 million. The Wall Street consensus is $73.24 million. Wachovia also downgraded SMA to Market Perform

Pozen, Inc. (Nasdaq: POZN) 9.8% HIGHER; Stock continues bouncing back after its recent drop related to an FDA 'approvable letter' for Trexima. The FDA has requested additional safety information on Trexima, which may require new studies.
CarMax Inc. (NYSE: KMX) 7.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.50 (excluding items), 12 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $1.89 billion vs. $1.82 billion consensus. Comparable store used unit sales rose 6% for the quarter. Total used unit sales grew 14% in the first quarter.
Monster Worldwide (NYSE: MNST) 6.8% HIGHER; Morgan Stanley upgrades MNST to Overweight
Nortel Networks (NYSE: NT) 6.2% LOWER; Stock being pressured today on increased competition fears after Siemens (NYSE: SI) announces deal with Nokia (NYSE: NOK)
Siemens AG (NYSE: SI) 6% HIGHER; Nokia and Siemens AG will combine their mobile-network operations.
Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) 4.8% HIGHER; Company announced that it is exploring a possible separation of Ashland Paving And Construction Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ashland, including by means of a spin-off or sale of APAC. Ashland also announced that it has entered into an exclusive negotiating period with Oldcastle Materials, Inc. regarding the possible sale of APAC.
