Goldman Sachs analyst Karen Holthouse offered some quick commentary on Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) following reports of a salmonella outbreak in Minnesota.
"We believe this could lead to some near-term sales disruption, and a negative stock reaction, but we do not expect this report to inflict permanent damage to the brand," Holthouse said.
The firm said the longer-term story on CMG remains intact and they remain Buy-rated on the shares.
