Item 8.01 Other Events.

On March 17, 2016, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina (U.S. Attorney's Office) informed Universal Technical Institute (UTI) that UTI has complied with the FIRREA subpoena issued to it on July 17, 2015. No adverse action has been taken or is anticipated relating to this subpoena. Further, the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that neither UTI nor NASCAR Technical Institute is the subject or target of any inquiry or under investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
