On April 14, 2015, G. Michael Brown, a director of Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation (the “Company”), informed the Company that he wished to retire from the Company’s Board of Directors at the end of his current term of service and not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors. Mr. Brown’s term of service will expire upon the election and qualification of his successor at the Company’s annual meeting of stockholders in 2015.
