Santiago, Chile. December 18, 2015.- Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM or the “Company”) (NYSE: SQM; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-B, SQM-A) published the following letter on the Company’s website today:

Dear Mr. Ponce:

 

We have received your letter dated today, requesting that SQM inform the Santiago Stock Exchange (“Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago”) about any special circumstances or relevant events that may explain the 10.16% increase in SQM’s series B share price today, with respect to the closing price as of yesterday, Thursday, December 17.

 

With respect to this matter, we can inform you that we are not aware of any fact or event that could explain the variation in the share price.
