Wells Fargo analyst Jamie Stockton highlighted Vocera Communications, Inc. (NYSE: VCRA) after Imprivata (NYSE: IMPR) was acquired today acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo for $19.25 per share, which is a 33% premium to the prior close.
Stockton views VCRA as an almost identical situation.
"The company has a leading communication solution for hospitals that affords it a very good gross margin (64% in 2017E), but it has built an op ex infrastructure to support a much larger portfolio (secure messaging, alerts management, patient experience) that has yet to inflect and thus is driving below-average profitability (3% op margin)," Stockton commented. "While VCRA does not have the security theme of IMPR that is very timely, we would encourage investors looking for a name like IMPR to check out VCRA."
