Speculators May Look At Other Regional Airlines After Southwest Buys AirTran (RJET, PNCL, HA, SKYW)

Republic Airways (Nasdaq: RJET) could see interest today after Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) announced plans to acquire AirTran Holdings Inc. (NYSE: AAI) at a 69% premium.

Pinnacle Airlines Corp. (Nasdaq: PNCL) and Hawaiian Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HA) are other regional airline to watch.

SkyWest's (Nasdaq: SKYW) is another regional to watch, but it currently is in a deal to acquire ExpressJet (NYSE: XJT).
