Traders are chatty about Navistar International (NYSE: NAV) early Tuesday following a disclosure from the company about an operational update scheduled on Friday.

Navistar International Corporation announced today that it will present a live web cast on Friday July 6th to provide an update to various operational matters related to the Company. The live web cast is scheduled at approximately 9:00 AM ET. Speakers on the web cast will include Daniel C. Ustian, chairman, president and chief executive officer, A. J. Cederoth, EVP & CFO and other Company leaders.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that the truck maker will be backing away from its engine pollution-reduction technology that has weighed on sales and brought scrutiny from the EPA.
Analysts at JP Morgan said shorts may cover in anticipation of the company changing strategies.
