Merrill's (MER) Thain is Leaning Toward Deal with Blackrock -CNBC
CNBC's Charlie Gasparino reports Merrill's (NYSE: MER) John Thain is leaning toward selling interests in Blackrock (NYSE: BLK) rather than selling interests in Bloomberg. Gasparino said people at Merrill are saying that Thain will make his decision within the next few weeks.
Gasparino believes if Merrill does end up selling part of either stake, it will probably continue business with that company. Gasparino called the story "very fluid" and said the details of the deal could change by Monday.
