Lehman Brothers (LEH) Sinks 14% After Bernanke Asks For Measure In Case of Another I-Bank Bankruptcy
Shares of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LEH) are down 14% to a new multi-year low.
Comments from Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke have the rumor mill in overdrive again. Bernanke said, "the Congress may wish to consider whether new tools are needed for ensuring an orderly liquidation of a systemically important securities firm that is on the verge of bankruptcy."
NOTE: Bernanke's comments look more preventative and not an indication that another i-bank is going bust.
