Leap Wireless (LEAP) on Watch After Clearwire (CLWR) Bidding War

January 8, 2013 5:22 PM EST Send to a Friend
Traders could have their eye on Leap Wireless International, Inc. (NASDAQ: LEAP) after Clearwire (Nasdaq: CLWR) received a $3.30/share unsolicited offer from Dish (Nasdaq: DISH). In December, Sprint (NYSE: S) agreed to acquire Clearwire for $2.97/share.

Leap Wireless is considered the last remaining play in the space.

MetroPCS (NYSE: PCS), which is in a takeover deal with T-Mobile, could also see interest if Dish is in anyway successful in it bid for Clearwire as this could push Sprint into a bidding war for PCS.
