InterOil Corporation (NYSE: IOC) is surging in pre-open trading Thursday on reports Royal Dutch Shell in in talks with the comapny that could lead to Shell buying into the firm's Papau New Guinea exploration license area. Dow Jones reported the news citing two Shell senior executives.
IOC last traded at $80, up 6 percent.
