Humana (HUM), Cigna (CI) Gain on Aetna (AET) M&A Speculation

Leerinks Partners comments earlier on Aetna (NYSE: AET) M&A are getting attention.

In the note earlier following an investor meeting, Ana Gupte said, "Consolidation remains likely, with CEO Mark Bertolini asserting that government business is the focus for inorganic growth, while compatible cultures for post-merger synergies were viewed as the driver in all transactions, with cheap debt making either AET-HUM and AET-CI meaningfully accretive possibilities and imminent."

HUM is gaining 3.5%, CI is gaining 2% while AET is gaining 1.2%.
