DirecTV (DTV) CEO White: Spectrum Not Factor in Possible Merger w/ DISH (DISH); Sees 'Modest' FY13 Subs Growth

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs tech conference today, DirecTV (Nasdaq: DTV) CEO Michael White said DISH Network's (Nasdaq: DISH) spectrum was not a factor in a potential merger.
Additionally, White commented that it was hard to see why DirecTV would want to compete in wireless.
For fiscal 2013, White sees "modest" subs growth and that DirecTV will do "fine" in third-quarter net sub adds.
Shares are up in early trading Friday.
