Trade GEOY Now!
GeoEye, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEOY) has lost nearly one-third of its market value today as an important government client is pulling back. Now the sell-off has some talking takeover.
In May, GeoEye unsuccessfully launched a $17 per share bid for rival DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI), which rejected it flatly. Now the tables may be turned.
With a market cap now more than double GeoEye, DigitalGlobe could launch its own bid with ease. Synergies are pretty obvious.
