Brocade (BRCD) Sees Interest On More Takeover Talk
Brocade Communications (Nasdaq: BRCD) is seeing some interest on renewed takeover talk. Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) is being named a possible suitor.
Brocade takeover chatter has been around for years, but have picked up recently after the Wall Street Journal reported in October that the company as quietly put itself up for sale.
Bulls say Brocade is a logical target due to the strategic value in the data center, while bears contend it is too expensive and its role as an independent provider of networking could limit the interest in a take-out.
Shares of BRCD are up fractionally today to $8.86.
