SkyWest (SKYW) Reports Decline in October Traffic

SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) reported a 14.6% decrease in available seat miles (ASMs) for October, while revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period last year. The combined airlines generated 1.7 billion ASMs and 1.4 billion RPMs for the month. Load factor was up 2.0 percentage points to 79.6% compared to 77.6% for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for October totaled 2,722,326 a 9.5% decrease over October 2007.

SkyWest, Inc., through SkyWest Airlines and ASA, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries, it offers scheduled passenger service with over 2,550 daily departures to 294 destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
