Reuters Reports March Same Store Sales Growth of 9.1%, Record High
Thomson Reuters is reporting that same-store sales for the month of March hit a record high with growth of 9.1%. The company was looking for a rise of 6.3% for the month. Around the sector, Kohl's (NYSE: KSS) and Cato (NYSE: CTR) were among some of the best performing. Retail sales from department stores came in up 12.3%, sales at discounters rose 10.1% and the teen apparel segment saw a 9.6% rise.
