Oppenheimer on Communication and Cloud Services: Updating 2H12 Wireless Estimates

Analyst, Timothy Horan, said, "Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) looks set to launch the iPhone 5 on September 21st, about two weeks earlier than we had previously modeled. As a result, we are shifting handset subsidy expenses from the 4th quarter into the 3rd. We expect demand to be very strong for the iPhone 5 as it is the first iPhone that has a whole new form factor on the latest network technology, and we see LTE as a meaningful differentiator. We are also updating our industry adds for what we believe to be very strong results at Verizon (NYSE: VZ) (shared data, LTE and PTT helped). Last, we have comments on the new Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) / AT&T (NYSE: T) Kindle joint venture, which is one of the most meaningful announcements in wireless this year."
