Mothers Work, Inc. (Nasdaq: MWRK) May same store sales rose 4.3% on sales of $54.2 million, versus $54.1 million in May '07.
The essentially flat sales versus last year resulted primarily from an increase in comparable store sales, substantially offset by a decrease in sales from our leased department and licensed relationships, including a decrease in Sears(R) leased department sales, as well as reduced sales volume from the ongoing closure of certain underperforming stores.
