Macy’s, Inc. (NYSE: M) same-store basis rose 5.1 percent in August 2012 as compared to August 2011, versus the consensus of up 3.3 percent.
Total sales wer $1.812 billion for the four weeks ended Aug. 25, 2012, an increase of 5.7 percent.
