General Motors (GM) Says 4 Chevy Cars Hit Sales Record in August

General Motors (NYSE: GM) is indicated higher Tuesday morning following positive sales news from the Detroit-based automaker.
According to Bloomberg headlines, GM's Chevrolet hit sales records for four of its passenger vehicles in August. Overall, August sales are expected to be up about 25 percent from the same period last year.
News comes following data from peer Chrysler LLC earlier, in which the company reported a 14 percent pop in August sales. The number was a five-year high for the group, which includes the Chrysler, JEeep, Fiat, Ram Truck, and Dodge brands.
GM is expected to release August sales metrics at 10am EDT Tuesday.
