Burlington Stores (BURL) Misses Q4 EPS by 8c; Guides Q1, FY14 Profit Below Consensus

Burlington Stores (NYSE: BURL) reported Q4 EPS of $0.95, $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.33 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.34 billion.

Comparable store sales increased 4.0%. In Fiscal 2012, certain stores were directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy and were not included in our comparable store base. In 2013, including these stores, comparable store sales increased 4.3%.

Sees FY2014 EPS of $1.25-$1.35, versus the consensus of $1.38.

Sees Q1 2014 EPS of $0.19-$0.23, versus the consensus of $0.23.
