Big Lots (BIG) Tops Q3 EPS by 5c; Boosts FY16 EPS Outlook

Big Lots (NYSE: BIG) reported Q3 EPS of $0.04, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.11 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.12 billion.

Comparable store sales were flat which was in line with guidance.

GUIDANCE:

Big Lots sees Q4 2016 EPS of $2.18-$2.23, versus the consensus of $2.21. Affirms Q4 guidance for comparable store sales in the range of flattish to +2%.

Big Lots sees FY2016 EPS of $3.55-$3.60, versus the consensus of $3.53. Affirms guidance for fiscal 2016 comparable store sales increase in the range of 1% to 2%.
