DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/09/12 -- Securities lawyers at Goldfarb LLP announced that a class action was filed due to alleged violations of shareholder protection laws by Molycorp (NYSE: MCP). Concerned Molycorp investors are encouraged to contact securities class action attorney Hamilton Lindley at 877-583-2855 or hlindley@goldfarbllp.com about their rights and remedies.
The complaint alleges that: (1) the company's Mountain Pass mining operation was not proceeding according to company statements; (2) Molycorp was not on schedule to reach 2012 and 2013 production rates; and (3) these problems occurred when demand for Molycorp products was in decline. The lawsuit, filed in the District of Colorado, seeks to recover for investors of Molycorp who purchased or acquired company stock before or between March 9, 2011 and November 10, 2011.
Goldfarb LLP lawyers have significant experience representing shareholders and whistleblowers in securities lawsuits nationwide. Molycorp stockholders -- or anyone with knowledge about this situation -- should contact lawyer Hamilton Lindley at hlindley@goldfarbllp.com or 877-583-2855 with questions or concerns.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/09/12 -- Last year the travel industry experienced an increase in "cybercrime" threats against travel professionals and their customers. To help mark 2012 as the year when the number of victims decreases, CSA Travel Protection (CSA), a Europ Assistance Group company dedicated for the past 20 years to providing affordable travel insurance and emergency assistance services, offers tips to help protect from phishing scammers.
Phishing attacks, or fake email and other lures that persuade consumers to provide confidential and personal information, are rising by as much as 20 percent each month, according to the most recent Symantec State of Phishing reports. Travel agents, vacation rental owners and managers, and travelers alike must be vigilant in ensuring their trip planning information isn't compromised. To help them do this, CSA recommends that:
- Travel professionals and rental owners
- Beware of anyone offering to pay more than the asking rate for a property
- Pay special close attention to any email received requesting information or action to click a link. No legitimate financial institution will ask for personal information via email.
- Install anti-phishing software on your computer to protect it from invaders.
- Travelers
- Confirm that the actual rental property is truly available at the time requested by calling the property manager directly.
- Contact the rental property manager -- by phone -- if anything seems too good to be true or just feels wrong, such as an "unheard of" rate offer or request for personal information via email.
- Check for bad grammar. Vacation rental owners and managers are professionals. If a scammer overseas is posing as one, this can sometimes be a first clue.
- Never wire money or send via an unsecure payment method. There is no way to track it or have it returned should something go wrong. Use a credit card or PayPal, which offer protection.
About CSA Travel Protection CSA Travel Protection, a Europ Assistance Group company, is dedicated to providing affordable travel insurance and emergency assistance services to protect travelers' valuable investments and provide the peace of mind one deserves while traveling. Now celebrating its 20-year anniversary, CSA has developed a reputation for standing behind its customers and by offering products and services to meet their needs. OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/09/12 -- The Executive of the National Pensioners and Senior Citizens Federation (NPSCF) concluded their annual lobby on Parliament Hill yesterday with a debate with the Honourable Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada Diane Finley over the issue of retirement security.
NPSCF President Barry Thorsteinson says, "We were there to present a case for better treatment of Canada's seniors at or below the poverty line supported by creditable research. However, instead of a discussion we got a lecture that there is a sustainability crises in Old Age Security (OAS)."
Thorsteinson accuses the Harper Government of ignoring the opinions of others, including a report by the Parliamentary Budget Officer which states the OAS is not in crisis.
The NPSCF lobby also addressed the housing, Pharmacare and dental health priorities facing Canada's seniors.
The lobby included a meeting with Shelly Glover, the Parliamentary Secretary for Finance. The executive also met with staff from the office of the Minister of State for Seniors, the Honourable Alice Wong. Minister Wong was unavailable. They also met with Opposition Members of Parliament, both New Democrats and Liberals.
Thorsteinson says while opposition MPs were willing to engage in meaningful discussion on seniors' issues, Government officials were more interested in presenting their positions.
The NPSCF has 350 affiliates across Canada with close to one million members. It is the only National Seniors' Organization that holds an Annual Convention to determine policy objectives for pensioners in open and democratic debate.
