Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE Recognize WWT in Top 10 of 50 Best Workplaces for Camaraderie

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading technology integrator, is honored to announce that it ranked 8th on the list of the 50 Best Workplaces for Camaraderie by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE Magazine.

“With a corporate mission and culture that fosters employee satisfaction, trust and growth, WWT is proud that our team has witnessed and attested to the fact that mutual trust, loyalty and friendship are central to WWT’s day-to-day operations,” said Jim Kavanaugh, chief executive officer of WWT.

WWT and the 49 other winning companies were selected based on evaluations by more than 255,000 randomly-selected employees from nearly 600 participating companies. Employees anonymously answered questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace. Companies achieving the highest overall results in their size categories were then ranked based on employees’ feedback regarding the quality of the personal connections they experience with colleagues, taking into account challenges, atmosphere, rewards, company pride, communication and corporate leadership.

“Companies that develop strong personal ties among employees and make time for fun at work aren’t just doing it to be nice—it’s a critical strategic investment,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work United States. “Workplaces with strong camaraderie are associated with higher levels of cooperation, effort, and effective communication—all essential ingredients of a high-performing organization.”

WWT has also achieved high rankings on Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE’s 2015 lists for Best Workplaces for Diversity, Women and Millennials as well as Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work for® 2015.
