Westlake Securities Widens Specialties with Additional Investment Bankers

Austin, TX, Aug. 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Westlake Securities is pleased to welcome Matthew P. Andersen and Alexander Schoenbaum to its investment banking team as Managing Directors.

Based at the company's headquarters in Austin, TX, Mr. Andersen's specialty is the financial services sector, while Mr. Schoenbaum's focus is on consumer, technology and media sectors.

With over 16 years' experience as a consultant and executive for acquisitive growth companies, Mr. Andersen has worked with both private and publicly traded companies that have completed over $2.5 billion of transactions.  From 2007-2014, Mr. Andersen was Senior Vice President for National Financial Partners (a portfolio company of Chicago-based Madison Dearborn Partners) headquartered in New York.  Prior, he was Senior Vice President of Financial Institutions for a privately-held company that is now an operating subsidiary of Prudential.

Mr. Schoenbaum has developed a broad range of experience advising companies across industries, with an emphasis on strong successful consumer, technology, communications and media brands.  In addition to providing capital advisory services, he has extensive experience working with companies to formulate and execute growth strategies, streamline operations and identify acquisition targets and strategic partners.  Mr. Schoenbaum began his career at Piper Jaffray's consumer mergers and acquisitions team, followed by a specialty private equity firm, Blue Sage Capital.
