Verizon's Wireless network ranked #1 for overall performance in Des Moines by RootMetrics®

DES MOINES, Iowa, June 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon customers in Des Moines are enjoying all of the benefits of the top-performing wireless network in the area, according to the Des Moines RootScore® Report, conducted by Seattle-based RootMetrics. In the new RootMetrics first half 2016 report, Verizon won the overall performance award in Des Moines. 

RootMetrics is an independent mobile analytics firm that uses off-the-shelf consumer smartphones to test the network capabilities of all four major U.S. wireless carriers in six network performance categories across various geographies.

This marks the seventh consecutive time Verizon won the Overall RootScore Award in Des Moines. Verizon also was ranked first (or shared first) in network reliability, call, text, speed and data performance.

RootMetrics professional testers drove 665 miles throughout the Des Moines metro area in the recent study. They compared national wireless competitors in 22 indoor locations and conducted 14,420 total tests from May 21 to 25.

The last time RootMetric's tested the state of Iowa, Verizon's wireless network was rated #1 for the Overall RootScore Award for the fifth consecutive time and captured the top rating for network reliability, call, speed and data performance across the state.   

Across the U.S., RootMetrics rated Verizon's wireless network as the leader among all major national wireless service providers for the fifth time in a row.
