Veidekke ASA: To build sewage treatment plant in Stjørdal
Veidekke Entreprenør has been awarded the contract by Stjørdal municipality to build a new sewage treatment plant for Stjørdal centre, Lånke and Skatval. The value of the contract is NOK 110 million excluding VAT.
The capacity of the current Stjørdal sewage treatment plant (SARA) has been exceeded, and it is also obsolete. This is the reason the municipality is building a new treatment plant that is intended to have the capacity to operate for the next 50 years. The new treatment plant will also receive sludge from all smaller treatment plants and sludge separators elsewhere in the municipality.
Veidekke Entreprenør's contract is to build a new pumping station at Halsøenkrysset, and at the Sutterø industrial area it will build a new treatment plant in addition to a garage facility and service building. Construction work has already started, and the plant will be handed over in December 2016.
