March 29, 2016 10:00 AM EDT

WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today its participation in TalentBall, a two-day event held April 27–28 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, conducted by the Best Practice Institute (BPI) and featuring front-office staff from the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.

The conference was designed for human resource professionals, business leaders, and financial executives who want to learn about and share the methods, models, and equations used to leverage talent data, analytics, and metrics for business success.

Cecile Alper-Leroux, vice president of HCM innovation at Ultimate, and Steve VanWieren, Ultimate’s principal data scientist, will speak at a session titled, “The Power of Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics: from Insight to Action.” During the presentation, attendees will learn how talent analytics can help organizations not only identify high performers and manage employee retention, but also how leaders can use this information to take proactive measures that influence favorable outcomes.

Focusing on a variety of perspectives and the wide-ranging use of analytics in business, other sessions will highlight financial plans, culture, HR, talent management, and more. In addition to Alper-Leroux and VanWieren, scheduled speakers include:

  • Todd Slavinsky, director of baseball analytics for the Texas Rangers
  • Thad Levine, assistant general manager of the Texas Rangers
  • Bob Beaudine, board member of the Texas Rangers
  • Dr. John Sullivan, professor, corporate speaker, and advisor at San Francisco State University
  • Jon Daniels, president of baseball operations and general manager of the Texas Rangers
  • Kellie Fischer, executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Texas Rangers
  • Mercedes Riley, director of human resources for the Texas Rangers
  • Ray Davis, principal owner and co-chairman of the board of directors of the Texas Rangers
  • Becky Kimbro, vice president of marketing for the Texas Rangers

The event also includes a baseball game—the Texas Rangers versus the New York Yankees—as well as a tour of Globe Life Park and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club’s executive offices.

“The Power of Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics: from Insight to Action” will take place on Thursday, April 28, 1:00–1:45 P.M. Central time.
