UFPI announces increase in semi-annual dividend payment

December 2016 dividend payment will be up 7 percent, to $0.45 per share

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFPI) today announced a seven percent increase to its semiannual dividend payment, to $0.45 per share, payable on December 15, 2016, to shareholders of record on December 1, 2016. The dividend payment was approved by the UFPI Board of Directors on October 18, 2016.  This is the 33rd year the Company has paid a dividend.

On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, UFPI posted record third-quarter results, including net earnings attributable to controlling interest of $27.8 million, an increase of 8.9 percent over the same period of 2015, on net sales of $826.7 million – also a record for the third quarter and an increase of 8.7 percent over 2015.
